The Sea Urchin
The Sea Urchin Room is inspired by a fascinating creature called a Sea Urchin. The Sea urchin has long sharp-looking spines. In Barbados Sea Urchins are known as Sea Eggs. Sea eggs are seasonally harvested for their roe, a nutritious and tasty delicacy. Some Barbadian men believe eating sea eggs increases their virility.

Eden On The Sea is located on Carlisle Bay one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
On most days Carlisle Bay boasts calm turquoise waters with no undertow, delicately lapping on the soft white sand. Our sister property SAVVY On The Bay offers sun lounger rentals with a shared beach umbrella for US$10 per person.
Our friendly beach attendants are ready to welcome you to our slice of paradise!Enjoy our bar service from your lounger and you watch the sea lap at the shore and soak in the sunshine.

OUR STORY
Our Property is a historic building within the UNESCO World Heritage site of Bridgetown.
Footsteps away from the most beautiful beach in Barbados. Carlisle Bay has crystal clear turquoise waters & white sand. Located within a UNESCO historic area a short walk from the capital Bridgetown, several attractions, activities, shops, medical facilities, cruise port & on site restaurants.
You will be in the midst of it all, located on the main south coast bus route. Enjoy all the activities around you including snorkeling & pickle ball or simply relax in our gardens or on the beach.
The building that houses our rooms is charming but old. The building began renovations in 2022 and in October 2024 we opened our rooms.
Our rooms are all upstairs and not suitable for those with walking or mobility issues, we think it is important that you know this ahead of time to ensure you have the best experience possible and that there are no surprises.
We are also located on a beach club property :) The beach is amazing; it is one if not the best in Barbados and the Caribbean. There is a restaurant, 24-hour beach bars and food truck park. There is nightly entertainment with live bands and dancing many nights. This is an active area and more suitable for active individuals who enjoy nightlife.

The Banana Room is inspired by the banana plant, its flower and its fruit. This popular tropical fruit which is enjoyed for its delicious flavor across the world grows right here in our garden. Banana bread is a great flavorful treat that is available from our very own Eden Café.

The Monkey Business Room is inspired by the mischievous Barbados Green Monkeys. This room can be reserved by itself as a separate accommodation or joined with The Palm room for a family accommodation. Monkeys live in communities all over the island. The monkey population in Barbados is approximately 14,000.

The Bamboo Room is inspired by the Bamboo plant. One of the best places to see large bamboo plants in Barbados is at Welchman Hall Gully. Welchman Hall gully is where the grapefruit was first invented. A grapefruit is a cross between the sweet orange and the pomelo or shaddock.

The Heliconia Room is inspired by the “Pink Flamingo Heliconia” also known as the “Sexy Pink Heliconia”. This vibrant tropical flower grows withing the lush hillsides of Flower Forest in the parish of St Thomas in Barbados. The word “Heliconia” is derived from Greek Helikōnios, from Helikōn Helicon, mountain in Greece.

The Banyan Room is inspired by our grand Banyan tree in front of our property. The banyan represents self-awareness through reflection, meditation, silence and a quieting of one's mind. Banyans are majestic and beautiful, exotic and heroic, mysterious and magnificent: a sight to behold for any traveler. To be beneath the splayed branches and giant pillars of a grand old banyan is to feel a certain calm: these trees have an undeniable presence, exuding a noble, timeless and benevolent aura.
